Yami Martinez has a big heart, an even bigger smile, and a life-long philosophy of making life better for others. She was born in Costa Rica, bravely moving to the United States at the tender age of 16 to attend school in New Jersey.
As a Realtor®, and the Principal Broker and founder of Altamar Real Estate, Yami helps families and individuals live a better life. She helps people buy their perfect home - locally or globally- or secure an investment/multi-family property for future financial security. Clients appreciate Yami's property management expertise and corporate relocation experience that make buying and maintaining a property easy.
Before becoming a Real Estate Broker in 2004, she was a successful advertising, marketing, and sales executive for blue-chip clients like Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods, and Telemundo Cable Network. Yami's Real Estate career is a perfect fit for her diverse skills and service-minded attitude. Connecting with people, negotiating, and marketing has been a big part of her life for more than 35 years.
Yami has the aptitude to translate data into market trends. This skill helps her clients to make informed decisions about property purchases.
Yami is one of the world's 'doers.' Her excellent leadership and bi-lingual (English and Spanish) skills mean she is a popular choice for key leadership positions in industry-related organizations and Associations. Yami is a founding member of global organizations such as REAL Estate Pros Without Borders, and FIABCI-USA Los Angeles/Southern California Council. She is currently serving on the board of directors for the California Association of REALTORS® and FIABCI-USA, the International Real Estate Federation. And previously serving as Chapter President for NAHREP Orange County (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals).
She supports non-profit organizations, with a special place in her heart for those that promote children's health, education, and well-being.
